On Deck Preview: Campus Series-Albany

Jared Carrier
Scouting Director, NY

We are on the eve of the midway point for our campus series. Tomorrow we head to the University at Albany where nearly 40 players will be in attendance as we continue to "Shape the State" this summer. Here's some players to keep an eye on:

John Rogowski OF / Lancaster, NY / 2018

Having a great summer so far, was up to 85 MPH from the OF last week at St. Bonaventure.

Pierce Hendershot 2B / 3B / Tioga Central, NY / 2019

Some of the best batting practices we've seen thus far coupled with some well hit balls during live at-bats.

Alex Bardo RHP / 1B / Corning Painted Post , NY / 2018

Anywhere from 82-86 during the Campus Series. Breaking ball was the best it's been last week at St. Bonaventure.

Andrew Perry 3B / OF / Shenendehowa, NY / 2018

Solid LHH 3B who plays the game hard. Can pound the ball in the gaps with accurate left side arm.

Nicholas Winslow C / Saratoga Central Catholic, NY / 2020

Projectable young catcher who were excited to see again.

Josh Van Bramer 1B / LHP / Fairport, NY / 2019

Above average defender around the bag at 1B, upper 70's with a repeatable delivery on the mound.

Isaiah Logan OF / C / Canajoharie, NY / 2019

Athletic outfielder with some whip in his bat, above average exit velocity (91 MPH) and barrel speed (72 MPH) for his age.

Jake Hernandez 3B / RHP / Guilderland , NY / 2018

Sturdy 3B who can also run it up to 83 MPH on the mound.

Daniel Hopper C / SS / Wallkill, NY / 2018

Physical catcher at 6-foot-3 190 pounds with some raw tools at and behind the plate.

Ryan Demitrovic RHP / OF / Churchville Chili, NY / 2018

Balanced approach at the plate; uses the whole field. Fundamental setup in the OF with accurate arm.

Evan Bowers OF / Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake , NY / 2018

Pound-for-pound one of the stronger players we'll see this summer. Hard-nosed outfielder with aggressive hacks from the left side.

Ryan O'Connell OF / Ardsley, NY / 2018

Clean, line drive stroke with an easy arm from the outfield, looking forward to seeing him again.
