PBR Spotlight Game: No. 18 Lima Central Catholic vs. No. 23 Milan Edison

ELIDA- Lima Central Catholic scored two unearned runs in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and went on to a 4-2 triumph over Milan Edison in the Division III regional semifinals at Elida Middle School.

With two away in the fourth, Ben Stolly reached on a walk and two consecutive Milan Edison errors gave No. 18 LCC a 3-1 advantage.

A bases loaded hit-by-pitch to Collin Stolly upped the T-Birds' lead to 4-1 in the sixth and that was enough for Travis Clark.The LCC right-hander gave up six hits, struck out two and walked one while giving up two runs, one earned.

Edison had taken a 1-0 lead in the second on a sacrifice fly by Austin Utter, but Clark drove in a run with a single off of sophomore left-hander Adam, Wroblewski in the third to even the score.

Wroblewski, whose fastball hit 85 mph, surrendered two earned runs on six hits and five walks while striking out three in 61/3 innings. Wroblewski left after throwing 109 pitches.

Lima Central Catholic (20-8) advances to face No. 10 Bloom-Carroll on Friday at 5 p.m. for a berth in the state tournament.Bloom-Carroll rolled by No. 4 Millbury Lake 16-6 in Thursday's second game.

No. 23 Milan Edison, which was a 9-4 winner over No. 1 unbeaten Ontario in the district semifinals, bows out at 19-10.
