Q and A with 2014 Tiffin Commit: Shiloh Turner Jr (Brush HS)

PBR: Why did you choose Tiffin?

Turner: I really liked the campus and they have my major. Also the coaching staff and Coach Wilkins were awesome and went out of their way to make sure everything was good for my family and I. The baseball program is also fantastic!!!

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Turner: Claflin University, Thiel College and Eastern Michigan 

PBR:  Where did Tiffin first see you compete?

Turner: Tiffin first saw me compete in Columbus at the Buckeye Elite tournament.

PBR: Coach Wilkins has brought a lot of excitement to the Dragon baseball program in his first full season.  What are some of the skills that you will bring to the table Tiffin?

Turner: I will bring solid defense, hitting, speed and leadership. 

PBR: What kind of role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Turner: My coaches expect me to come in and work hard and show leadership and fight for a starting spot.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Turner: My Father Shiloh Turner Sr, My mother and my step father and brothers. They are my biggest fans!! Every time they see me play their faces just light up. They believe in me and are always there to support me. Win or lose, good game or bad they always tell me I'm a superstar in their eyes and that is the greatest feeling.

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience?

Turner: I play for North Coast Elite in the summer. My most exciting experience was playing in Triple Crown in Chicago.

PBR: What were your stats for this spring season at Brush?

Turner: .310 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI
