Here is a look at some of the scores and highlights from around the state on Monday, April 10, 2017.


Chattanooga Christian 10, Notre Dame 0
Matthew Mercer tossed a 5-inning perfect game in Monday's Charger victory.  Mercer struck out 4 and finished 1-3  with an RBI at the plate.  John Rhodes finished 2-2 with a double, a home run, a walk, 2 runs, and 4 RBI, while Justin Wheeler and Alex Phillips combined to go 4-4 with 4 runs and 1 RBI.

McGavock 9, Hillsboro 8
The Raiders pushed across 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th on a walk-off double by Mason Ward to take down the Hillsboro Burros.  Ward, Carson Richardon, and Vaughn Hamel all went 2-4, while Cameron Smith finished 3-4 with 3 RBI.  Paul Wells earned the W on the mound by tossing 2 scoreless innings of relief. 

Greeneville 6, CAK 3
The Greeneville Devils put together a strong performance to take out one of the top teams in the state on Monday.  Cody Hartness and Jordan Idell both went 2-3 and combined to score 3 runs, while Nash Newberry finished with 2 RBI.  Austin Collins earned the W on the mound, allowing only 2 runs in 5.2 innings of work.

GCA-Knoxville 15, Midway 7
The Rams' offense exploded on Monday evening to push across 15 runs against the Green Wave.  Noah Gent led the way, finishing 3-4 with 2 doubles, a run, and 2 RBI, while Bryce Hodge and Logan Harbin both hit a home run. Eli Henley, Hunter Ross, Taylor Lawson, and Landon Crumbley all had 2 hits.

Hardin Valley 10, Lenoir City 2
Lucas Cook finished 3-4 with 2 doubles, 1 run, and 3 RBI to lead the Hawk offense to a strong performance on Monday evening.  Cameron Fisher and Marcus Hill both contributed 2 hits and Brock Umberger drove in 3 runs. Jackson Penn earned the W on the mound, striking out 7 while only allowing 4 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings of work.

Pope John Paul II 5, Father Ryan 3
Mason Hickman led the way for the Knights on Monday evening, tossing all 7 innings and allowing only 3 hits and 1 walk.  Hickman struck out 9 and allowed only 1 earned run.  Jack Shuttleworth finished 2-3 with a run and an RBI, while Collin O'Berry and Benny Ennis each had a hit and an RBI. 

Farragut 8, Heritage 1
Zach Yunger powered the Admirals' offense on Monday evening, finishing 2-3 with a triple, a home run, 1 RBI, and 3 runs scored.  Carson Wright and Parker Noland also had 2 hits, 1 run, and 1 RBI as well. Owen Kovacs earned the W on the mound, tossing 5 innings and allowing only 2 hits and 1 run.

Soddy Daisy 5, Ooltewah 3
The Trojans gutted out a late-inning comeback win over the Ooltewah Owls on Monday night.  Down 3-2 in the 7th, Soddy Daisy scratched out 3 runs to take the 5-3 lead that they'd go on to win by.  Aaron Couch and Spencer Gore both had 2 hits and an RBI, while Jake Flippo earned the W on the mound by tossing a scoreless 6th and 7th.

Independence 6, Summit 5
The Eagles stayed hot and pulled out a big win on Monday evening against the Spartans.  Sam Molnar, Noah Haynie, and Shawn Wallwork combined to go 6-10 with 3 runs and 4 RBI to power the offense, while Robert Hassell added a hit and 2 runs.  The Eagles scored the winning run on a Spartan error in the 7th.
 
Milan 7, Westview 2
Connor Creasy led the way for the Bulldogs on both sides of the ball in Monday evening's victory, finishing 3-3 with a double and 3 RBI at the plate and allowing only 2 runs on 2 hits on the mound.  Creasy struck out 9, while Cameron Oliver added 3 hits and 2 runs of his own.
