Spencer Strider dealt a complete game shutout to send the Warriors to the state tournament, allowing only 3 hits and striking out 5 in his 7 innings of work.  The CAK offense scored the only 4 runs of the game in a big sixth inning, thanks in part to a 2-run double from Garrett Breeden.  Hudson Chastain finished 1-3 with a double, a run, and an RBI, while Robert Gee and Connor Quinn each had a hit of their own.  Alex Osborne drove one in with a sac fly.

Goodpasture 8, Boyd-Buchanan 1

In a game that saw 10 of its 11 runs scored in the final 2.5 innings of play, the Tigers from Central Magnet were able to come out on top by pushing across the final run in the bottom of the 7th.  Dylan Jenkins scored the walk-off run to send the Tigers to State on an errant throw in the infield on a routing groundout by CJ Campbell.  Jenkins finished 2-3 with 2 runs scored, while five others recorded one hit apiece.  Chris Johnson tossed the first 5.1 innings and allowed only 1 earned run.

Huntingdon 6, Scotts Hill 2
The Mustangs of Huntingdon delivered a big win on Friday night, sending themselves to State on the backs of Hunter Ensley and Elijah Wilkerson.  Ensley threw all 7 innings and allowed only 2 runs on 3 hits and 4 strikeouts, while finishing 1-3 with a run scored at the plate.  Wilkerson went 3-4 with an RBI and Kelby Pearson delivered 2 hits and a run of his own.  Kyle Lutz produced a 2 RBI double in the third and scored a run.
