Jacob Edgington, 1B/RHP, Cookeville HS, 2015

At 6-foot-6, 245 pounds, Edgington has the physical intangibles necessary for the next level.  Though first base is his primary listed position, his future may be on the mound.  He recently attended the Tennessee Smokies High School Baseball Showcase and impressed by having one of the top fastballs of the camp at 87 mph.  He stayed on top of the ball, with downward tilt and slight run into right handed hitters, and his breaking ball showed good spin and should continue to improve.  He has the makings of a power pitcher as he matures, and while he is currently uncommitted, Edgington should get some serious looks with strong showcase performances leading up to his senior high school campaign.
