Shorter arm action on throws from the outfield. Average carry on throws would like to see work thru more and focus on gaining arm strength. Solid foundation on player and one to keep an eye on as he develops and adds strength. 

12.4.16:  Grimes is 5-9 with an athletic frame, hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance. Minimal stride, short load back, decent lower half and above average balance throughout swing. Longer path with extension through ball, level line drive swing gets uphill sometimes. Pull approach with an exit velocity of 78. At short, above average footwork and hands. Sound exchange, high three-quarters arm action with a short arm action, position velocity of 73. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throwing from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action and accuracy, catcher velocity of 68, pop times were 2.20-2.36.
