2013 Prospect Watch: Alec Tuohy (Gahanna Lincoln)

When Gahanna Lincoln squared off against Dublin Coffman in this year?s Division I Central District Championship, Alec Tuohy toed the rubber for the biggest game of his life.

Tuohy, then a sophomore, recorded a complete game allowing one run and three hits while striking out six.

After handling a Coffman lineup that featured Austin Cousino (2011 Kentucky recruit) and Ryan Leffell (2011 Ohio State recruit), Tuohy has added to his confidence heading into his junior season.

The 6-0, 165 pounds right-handed pitcher has quickly emerged as one of the top pitchers for the class of 2013 in Central Ohio and the State.

Recently, Prep Baseball Report clocked his fastball 84-87 mph. In addition to his fastball, Tuohy relies on a hard biting 12/6 curve ball. He is currently working on the development of a changeup as his third pitch.

Tuohy, who also plays quarterback for the Gahanna Lincoln football team, has an athletic, muscular build. As his mechanics continued to be refined and his strength continues to develop, he will only continue to mature into a more polished pitcher.

This summer, Tuohy is playing for the Gahanna Post 797 Legion team out of Central Ohio.
