With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Archbishop McNicholas Rockets

Team Name: Archbishop McNicholas Rockets
Head Coach: John Christmann
Division: II
2015 Record: 20-9
Conference Record: GCL, Co-ed Division, 2nd Place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/4

2016 Team Strengths:

• Great team chemistry and leadership.
• Several third-year starters.
• 11 seniors on the roster.
• Excellent pitching and team defense.
• Five starters who are capable of going deep into the game.

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Set up role for bullpen is to be determined.

Coach Outlook: "Return strong nucleus of District Championship team, including our top pitcher and top four hitters."

PBR Outlook: The Rockets and head coach John Christmann are a team to watch in 2016. With the experience, pitching and talent on the team, the Rockets are ready to take off in 2016.

Top Returning Players:

• Will Vogelgesang (pictured right), 1st-team all City
• Sam Browning, POY D-II in Cincinnati and League POY (GCL Co-ed). Lake Erie College commit
• Ryan Byrne, 1st-team all GCL and HM all City
• Evan Jenkins, Good looking recruit
• Liam Brooks, 2nd-team all GCL, side-arm closer

Top Underclassmen:

• Michael Lang, INF/OF/RHP, will be first year starter as a sophomore
