With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Franklin Wildcats

Team Name: Franklin Wildcats
Head Coach: Matt Current
Division: II
2015 Record: 16-10
Conference Record: Southwestern Buckeye League, 7-5
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2/1

2016 Team Strengths:

• Speed
• Baseball knowledge

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Unproven pitching

Coach Outlook: We are a young team, losing seven starting seniors last year. We have two full time starters returning and five players that saw limited time returning from last season. Our team will most likely only have a couple of seniors in 2016. We will have plenty of players that can pitch, but most are unproven at the varsity level so we have a lot to look forward to. This team has a good nucleus of athletes and baseball players that have played for many years. If we gel as a team, we could really make some noise in the league.
