With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Perkins Pirates

Team Name: Perkins Pirates
Head Coach: Ray Neill
Division: II
2015 Record: 14-14
Conference Record: Sandusky Bay Conference, 3rd
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/1

2016 Team Strengths:

• Athleticism
• Defense
• Hitting

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Pitching depth
• Only two seniors
• Hitting for power

Coach Outlook: There are only two seniors on this year's squad. Relying on several juniors. We have only one pitcher with varsity experience. We will be a quick, athletic team.

Top Returning Players:

• Dawson Nason, RHP/SS, 5'10" 175, two year letter winner
• Cody Best, CF, 5'9" 145, two year letter winner

Top Underclassmen:

• Dylan Nason, C, 2019, 5'9" 165
