2016 Spring Team Preview: Wadsworth Grizzlies

Team Name: Wadsworth Grizzlies
Head Coach: Greg Pickard
Division: I
2015 Record: 27-1
Conference Record: Suburban League, 14-0
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/2

2016 Team Strengths:

  • I think we will lean on our pitching this year, especially early in the season while a few new varsity players gain experience. We are excited about the progress some of our pitchers have made to compliment our two seniors on the mound.

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • Our biggest weakness will be inexperience. We are replacing a lot of players with guys that have little or no varsity experience. How quickly they adapt will go a long way.

Coach Outlook: We are looking forward to a very competitive pre-season. We lost a great group of seniors from last year's team, and are excited about some of the position battles we will have to replace them. We return two of our top three arms from last year and will count on them to stabilize our rotation. We only return a few players, but they are at very key positions both defensively and offensively. We have had a very good off-season and are ready for another great year!
