Marysville’s baseball team jumped out to a quick 6-0 first inning lead and never looked back.  Leadoff hitter and unsigned senior, Kyle Hites reached on error and the rally began.  The Monarchs continued with the next five batters reaching base safely by a hit or walk.

Dublin Coffman starter Joey Murray was knocked out of the game in the first inning after surrendering six runs without retiring an out.  The inning was highlighted by a RBI single by Billy Kidd and a two-run double by Corey Gould (Mount Vernon recruit).

Marysville would continue to add on to the runs column with two more runs in the second inning and another three in the third.  Once again sparked by a Gould 2-run single and also Aron Mowery (pictured) and Matt Mulholland added an RBI a piece.

Working with a large lead from the first pitch, Mowery and Hites, who worked in relief, combined to toss a one-hitter in the shortened 11-0 run rule performance. Mowery tossed three no-hit innings while Hites shut down the Rocks giving up just one base knock.

Dublin Coffman recorded their only hit in the bottom of the fifth inning with a single from pinch hitter by Chris Machulski.

Marysville upped it's record to 7-2 and Coffman falls to 3-6 on the season.
