With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2018 Spring Team Preview: Willoughby South Rebels
Team Name: Willoughby South Rebels
Head Coach: Steve Norris
Division: I
2017 Record: 15-14
Conference Record: Western Reserve Conference, 8-6
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2
2018 Team Strengths:
- Chemistry
- Hitting
- Pitching Depth
- Youth
Coach Outlook: South should see improvement after a down year last year. Six seniors return to start with a good mix of juniors and sophomores that provide depth at key positions. In addition, the pitching rotation should be stronger and the lineup should feature more power top to bottom.
PBR Outlook: Head coach Steve Norris sees improvement in 2018 after a 15 win season a year ago. With two returning starters, look for the Rebels to use the leadership from six seniors to help pace South in 2018.
