March 4- 9 AHSAA Players of the Week:

As the same in previous weeks. there were some impressive performances throughout the state as the season gets into full swing. Some big time offensive numbers and some dominant outings on the mound highlight our list for this week. Below are our Players of the Week for March 4-9:

Peyton Wilson (2019, 2B/C, Hoover) The University of Alabama signee was impressive at the plate this week against some big time competition going 8-16 on the week with 1 2B, 8 RBI, 2 runs scored, a BB and 5 stolen bases. 

Robby Ashford (2020, OF, Hoover) The athletic OF showed his complete game this week going 6-15 with 2 2B, 1 3B with 3 RBI's. He also scored 6 runs to go along with 5 BB and 6 stolen bases. 

Bryce Walter (2020, RHP/IF/OF, Piedmont) The junior was 5-8 for the week with 4 RBI's with 4 runs scored and 3 stolen bases. He had a huge 3 run walkoff HR on Saturday in a 3-2 win. He also went 3 innings on the mound earning a save. 

Mattox Johnson (2022, LHP, Gulf Shores) The freshman had an impressive week on the mound throwing 8 1/3 innings for the Dolphins. He was 2-0 with 1 save on the week not allowing an earned run while striking out 11 and only issuing 1 BB and allowing 3 hits. 

Greg Oliver (2020, OF, Shelby County) The junior was 8-11 on the week with 3 2B's. He scored 9 runs and had 11 stolen bases as Shelby County went 4-0 for the week. 

Austin Harris (2020, RHP, Shelby County) Harris turned in an impressive week on the mound going 9 innings. He did not allow a run and only gave up 4 hits. He did not issue a walk on the week while striking out 11. This included a complete game win. 

Johnnie Keahey (2020, OF/RHP, Priceville) The junior threw a 7 inning complete game only allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run in getting the win. He had 13 K's with only 1 BB. 

Hunter Donaldson (2020, SS/2B, Smiths Station) The University of South Alabama commit had another impressive week at the plate going 7-12 with 8 RBI's with 1 2B, 1 3B and 1 HR.

Zane Faulk (2020, C, Smiths Station) This makes the third week in a row for Faulk to be on the list but his offensive numbers are just absurd. For the week he was 4-9 with 1 2B, 1 3B and 1 HR. 

Caden Bryan (2020, OF, Charles Henderson) The junior outfielder had an impressive week at the plate going 5-9 with 2 2B's and 1 HR. He also had 6 RBI's for the week. 

Brock Huner (2019, RHP/SS, Charles Henderson) Huner put up some big time numbers for the week. The senior was 6-8 with 2 2B's and 1 3B. He also scored 7 runs while driving in 6 runs. 

Caden Rose (2020, SS/RHP, Bob Jones) The University of Alabama commit put up some gaudy numbers for the week. He was 7-15 with 3 2B's, 1 3B and 1 RBI. In addition, he added 2 BB, 1 HBP and scored 4 runs. 

Dylan Ray (2020, RHP/3B/OF, Bob Jones) Ray is also a University of Alabama commit that had an impressive week at the plate. He was 5-12 with a HR and 8 RBI's. He also scored 2 runs on the week. 

Nick Brown (2020, RHP, Bob Jones) Brown had a very impressive complete game win v. Houston County, GA. He went 7 innings on the mound only allowing a single hit. He did not issue a walk and struck out 13. 

Garrett McMillan (2019, RHP Hillcrest Tuscaloosa) McMillan, a Shelton State CC signee, had an outstanding outing on Friday vs. American Christian Academy throwing a 7 inning perfect game. He struck out 8 on the night.
