With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs

Team Name: Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs
Head Coach: Brian Thacker
Division: II
2015 Record: 26-3
Conference Record: Mid State League- Buckeye Division, 1st
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/0

2016 Team Strengths:

• Depth at all positions
• Experienced senior class
• Strong lineup
• Pitching depth

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Unproven pitching
• Two new catchers sharing position for first time

Coach Outlook: We return a bunch of full/part time starters from a very deep and successful past two years and add OSU recruit Clayton Surrell from Pickerington Central. We have a lot of position player talent and a lot of young and old pitchers that are finally going to get their chance on the mound with the departure of an all-senior pitching staff from last season.
