With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Hamilton Township Rangers

Team Name: Hamilton Township Rangers
Head Coach: Matthew Snider
Division: II
2015 Record: 12-15
Conference Record: Mid-State League (Buckeye), 8-6
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/3

2016 Team Strengths:

  • Defense
  • Pitching
  • Depth

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • Manufacturing runs
  • Hitting for average

Coach Outlook: We bring a senior led team to the field in 2016 returning most of our key defensive players and a deep pitching staff. We are looking to fill the void left by much of our key offensive production from last season.

Top Returning Players:

  • Kasey Bottorff, C, 2016, 5’10” 180, R/R, three year starter, Wilmington College commit 
  • John Moore, LHP, 2016, 6’0” 175, R/L, 50+ K, uncommitted 

Top Underclassmen:

  • Adam Denny, RHP, 6’2” 200, R/R
  • Cameron Schreck, SS/2B, 5’9” 155
