With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Tallmadge Blue Devils

Team Name: Tallmadge Blue Devils
Head Coach: Kenny Linn
Division: II
2015 Record: 15-15
Conference Record: Suburban, 6th
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/4

2016 Team Strengths:

• Experience
• Speed
• Defense
• Fast and athletic outfield

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Young
• Hitting

Coach Outlook: We lost John Rensel, Matt Noel, and Billy Woods last year who was our ace off the mound. They all three had performed very well in our Regional Semi-finals appearance last year. We did finish with five freshmen starting last year. We return Tyler Duben being recruited by Hiram to be our ace and right fielder. He was All-Suburban and hit .384, drove in 16 runs, and won 4 games off the mound. Ben Pratt (Marietta Recruit) SS/2B/P hit .304 last year and Will Howell (Hiram Recruit) is a great utility player. We are still young but excited about the experience gained last year.
