Ohio Spotlight Game: #26 Olentangy vs Westerville Central
#26 Olentangy overcame a 3-run deficit to take home a 5-3 victory over Westerville Central on Wednesday.
Westerville Central took an early lead in the second inning, when Evan Ingram singled to score two runs. The Warhawks would tack on another run in the third inning when Jalen Arms came around to score on Daniel Cellars single.
After a few scoreless, Olentangy would tie up the game with runs by Sam Nourse, Ethan Kellner and Caden Kaiser in the top half of the fifth inning.
Both teams would squander away several scoring opportunities over the next few innings, forcing the game to go into extra innings.
In the top of the 8th, the Braves put two runs on the scoreboard highlighted by a Moeller double and a Jake McIntyre single.
Olentangy is now 8-2 overall and 4-1 in OCC play.
