PBR Spotlight Game: Sycamore 8, Summit Country Day 5

It was a cold opening day for high school baseball and we led things off with a good match up of Sycamore at Summit Country Day.

Summit featured 2017 RHP Connor McMurry (Ranked 21st in Ohio 2017 Class) on the mound. McMurry started a little shaky giving up two runs in the first, but ended up striking out the side. Connor left the game in the fourth and his final line was (4 inn, 3 hits, 3 BB, 7 Ks).

The offense for Summit was led by Emory commit Eric Terry who had two hits on the day and was deadly throwing out runners on the bases.

Summit tied the game up in the 7th, but Sycamore answered in extra innings putting up 3 in the top of the 8th.

Sycamore was led by 2017 3B/2B Jake Borman. Borman had two hits on the day one going for a double and added 3 RBIs.

On the mound Sycamore started 2018 Jacob Kotzin. Kotzin went five innings allowing only three hits on the day. Jacob was not overpowering, but was able to keep them off balance all game. 2017 RHP Victor Garnica came in relief to secure the 8-5 win for the Aviators.
