Luke Wilson OF / C / Sir Winston Churchill, AB / 2022

Report: When speaking about Luke Wilson, you go right to the left-handed bat. That is not a knock against his defense either as Wilson stood out recently as he went behind the dish at our Calgary Open ID and really impressed our staff with his arm strength and fundamentals of the position. That said, the bat is the carrying tool and Wilson, the uncommitted 2022 grad is someone who has the swing and strength to really tap into some power. It is controlled and balanced with some barrel whip, uses his hands well with some feel to hit and can go the other way  and does a good job of getting extended and using his lower half.

Future: With Wilson, he still has two off-season’s believe it or not to hone his skills and continue to improve and get better. We can only imagine what the strength is going to look like on the present 6-foot, 210-pound Wilson. The catching aspect is a very interesting move and has us intrigued heading into the off-season. This is a bat you are going to want to follow because we know he is going to hit, it's a matter of where he falls on the field but there is enough strength and IQ for Wilson to adapt and contribute in many ways defensively. Watch Luke Wilson closely, this is a bat that is going to hit and hit for power.
