If you’ve played the game maybe you’ve experienced it. That unexplainable groove you get into where the ball looks like a beach ball coming to the plate and everything you hit is on the screws. South Oldham’s Tanner Johnson experienced just that last week.

The junior catcher, a University of Kentucky commit, was on fire, hitting at a .579 clip. Johnson’s barrage of hits included five doubles and four home runs while he drove in 13 to lead the South Oldham offense. Johnson has been getting it done all season, and last week was no exception. His No. 14 ranked Dragons stand at 9-4 on the season.

For his outstanding performance on the field, South Oldham 2017 C Tanner Johnson has been selected as the PBR Kentucky Player of the Week.
