PBR GAME OF THE DAY

No. 14 Naperville Central 10, Neuqua Valley 0
Naperville, IL –Junior, left-handed pitcher Ryan Eiermann, a Texas Christian recruit, led Naperville Central (8-2) to a 10-0 win over Neuqua Valley (4-2). Eiermann started and got the win on the mound. He went all five innings, allowed one base-runner via a single in the second, struck out seven and did not walk anyone.

Eiermann also did damage at the plate for the Redhawks. With two outs in the bottom of the first, he lined a ball to left field for a two-run single giving Naperville Central an early 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the fourth, up 5-0, Eiermann delivered once again. This time, with the bases loaded and one out, he fouled off numerous pitches working the count full before he laced a three-run double off the left-field wall.

Catcher Jack Hughes went 1-for-2 with a three-run home-run over the right-field wall and had four RBI on the day for the Redhawks. Another contributor at the plate was shortstop Connor Gurnik who went 2-for-3 with three runs.
