CLASS 2A SUPER-SECTIONALS

LINCOLN LAND COLLEGE

Williamsville (30-6) slipped past St. Joseph-Ogden 3-2, to advance to the Class 2A Final 4 at Dozer Park in Peoria on Friday. St. Joseph-Ogden concludes a sensational 2015 season at 33-6.

AUGUSTANA

Rockford Christian (34-6) advanced to the Class 2A Final 4 at Dozer Park in Peoria on Friday with a thrilling walk-off 6-5 victory over Carthage Illini West in Rock Island.
Sam Cantolino walked with the bases loaded, driving home his third run of the game by driving home a joyous Dave Priby, who reached on a Charger miscue to open up the bottom of the seventh. Nolan Gazouski fired four hitless innings of relief for the Royal Lions to pick up the win. Gazouski continued his torrid hitting with a pair of doubles and a Royal Lion RBI. Carthage Illini West bows out at 31-8.

Peru St. Bede (23-8) crushed 2014 Class 2A Runner-up Westmont 7-0

SAUGET

After DuQuoin (26-11) had scored twice in the top of the seventh, to tie the contest at 5, Teutopolis (31-5-1) won in walk-off fashion on John Kreke’s game-winning single to right. With the win, the Wooden Shoes move on to the Class 2A Final 4 at Dozer Park in Peoria on Friday. Red-Hot Austin Hardtke led the T-Town attack, with two singles and three RBI. Louis Niemerg chipped in with a single and two RBI for the victorious Shoes.

CLASS 1A SUPER-SECTIONALS

BENEDICTINE UNIVERSITY

Fulton (20-7) destroyed defending Class 1A Illinois Lutheran 17-4 behind Devon  Ballard and Jason Ryder to advance to the Class 1A Final 4 at Dozer Park in Peoria on Friday.
Ballard singled, went deep and drove home five steamer runs. Jason chipped in with a single and added two Steamer RBI. Illinois Lutheran bows out at 22-8.  

LINCOLN LAND COLLEGE

Cinderella Okaw Valley (17-18) won for the eighth consecutive time, 5-3, stunning Concord Triopia (24-12) and will advance to the Class 1A Final Four at Dozer Park in Peoria.

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS

Bethany Okaw Valley, stunned Princeville 6-5 on Devon Still’s walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh, which sent Timberwolf fans, dancing onto Florida Avenue, on the University of Illinois campus. Still, went the distance against the Princes, firing a nine-hitter with 14 punch-outs. With the win, the Timberwolves move on to the Class 1A Final Four at Dozer Park, in Peoria on Friday.  Princeville bows out at 26-5.
