A full slate of big games was played last week and, subsequently, there was a lot of movement in the top 25 rankings.

A quick look at the Power 25 Team Rankings:

CLIMBING

+ No. 9 Champaign Central continues to roll and cracks the top 10 for the first time all season.

+ No. 10 Glenbrook South has reeled off 15 straight, including an undefeated run through Central Suburban South play.

+ No. 11 Batavia is beginning to hit its stride and jumps eight spots.

+ No. 7 O’Fallon moves up three spots in the top 10. The Panthers will travel to No. 16 Edwardsville on Thursday in a big Southwestern Conference matchup. Edwardsville won the last matchup in April – the last time O’Fallon has lost.

+ No. 19 Downers Grove South jumps five spots as the Mustangs roll through West Suburban Gold play.

Sinking

+ No. 17 Libertyville dropped three games last week and fell from the top 10. The 4A runner-up Wildcats split their series with No. 13 Mundelein and also lost to New Trier and Hoffman Estates.

+ No. 8 Lincoln-Way North dropped six spots after losing to Andrew last week.

+ No. 15 Lincoln-Way West drops six spots. The Warriors will host Lincoln-Way North on Monday. North won the first matchup, 3-0, last Thursday.
