We would like to thank all who participated in PBR's The Border Preview Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2015, '16, '17, and '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Scouting report: 5-foot-10, 185-pound solid build. From the outfield he attacks the baseball, with a small crow hop. Strong lower ½  and throws from a high-¾ slot with 79 mph velocity on his throw. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Starts with high hands with a toe tap to load and his path gets in and out of the hitting zone. Registered top exit velocity of 74 mph off a tee and ran 7.0-60.

Austin Willitzer, SS/2B, Ayersville, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 153-pound projectable frame. From the infield he fields the ball into his body and needs to quicken up his exchange. From over top he showed 75 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that does not use a stride with a little load. Has flat bat path and good rotation on his lower half. Registered top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran 7.94-60

Brandon McRae, RHP/3B, Luthern, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot, 195-pound big body build. From third base he fields the ball into his body with a slow exchange. From a short-¾ slot his showed 71 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that is strong. Uses a little leg kick and barrel gets in and out of the zone with some occasional power to pull side. Registered 84 mph top exit velocity off a tee and ran 7.66-60. On the mound he shows some effort in his delivery and from a ¾ slot his fastball sat 69-72 mph with occasional run. Slows his arm down on breaking ball with big gradual 11/5 break at 60-62 mph. Showcased a changeup at 61-63 mph with some fade to it.

Brant Rago, RHP/SS, Berrien Springs, 2017
Scouting report: 6-foot-3, 175-pound projectable frame. From the infield he projects as a 3B type. He has soft hands and fields the ball into his body. Throws from a loose, high-¾ slot with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that stands tall. Little leg kick to load with flat path and the ball tends to jump off his bat. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph off a tee and ran 7.15-60. On the mound the righty has smooth delivery that lands slightly open at foot strike. Throws from a quick, ¾ slot with fastball sitting 77-81 mph with occasional run. He has very good secondary stuff with his breaking ball at 69-70 mph with late, sharp 11/5 tilt. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 71-74 mph with good sink.

Brock Morgan, C/2B, Northern Collegiate, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-9, 165-pound solid build. From behind the plate he shows good footwork and solid transfer. Gets long on his arm swing from a high-¾ slot with pop times ranging between 2.12-2.33 and 70 mph arm strength down to second. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance and starts slightly closed. Flat bat path with some strength in his swing. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph off a tee and ran a 7.34-60.

Chad Newell, LHP/OF, Toledo Christian, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-4, 190-pounds projectable frame. On the mound the southpaw stands tall with a clean delivery that he is able to repeat and hides the ball well. From over the top his fastball sit 74-77 mph with down angle and sink. Shows a 12/6 breaking ball with a big break at 59-63 mph. Slows his arm down on his changeup at 63-68 mph with some cut to it.

Chandler Stillings, LHP/OF, Findlay, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-2, 192-pound projectable build. On the mound the southpaw shows a clean, repeatable delivery with some effort to it. From a long, high-¾ slot his fastball sit 81-83 pm with some down angle and sink. Shows a 12/6 breaking ball with good arm speed at 63-64 mph. Mixed in a solid changeup at 63-68 mph with some occasional sink.

Christian Magill, RHP/SS, Tiffin Columbian, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic build. In the infield he shows good range. He has tendency to take too many steps on his transfer. Has clean exchange with top velocity of 76 mph across the diamond from a high-¾ slot. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Uses a leg kick for his load. Has good rhythm in his hands and flat path that occasionally finishes high. Registered top exit velocity off a tee at 80 mph and ran 7.7-60. On the mound he has a repeatable delivery with minimal effort and consistently pounded the zone. From over top he has a quick arm and fastball sitting 79-81 mph. Showcased two different breaking balls. His 12/6 curveball has depth at 64-88 mph and his slider is harder with later action at 72-73 mph.

Christopher Deacon, C/1B, Anthony Wayne, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-2, 185-pound athletic, projectable frame. From a crouch he has wide frame. Shows good footwork and decent transfer. Arm is long from a high-¾ slot with good arm strength of 76 mph velocity down to second. Right-handed hitter with a closed stance and a short, compact swing with a good path. Registered top exit velocity of 78 mph and ran a 7.52-60.

Corbin Paxton, 1B/OF, Sylvania Northview, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-11, 170-pound strong build. From the outfield he tends to wait back on the baseball. Opens up on his throw from a high-¾ slot with 76 mph arm strength. At first base he shows good footwork around the bag and able to gain ground coming off the base. Left-handed hitter that has good rhythm in his hands and does not use a stride. Keeps his hands back and uses flat path with 81 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.36-60.

Daniel McMichael, RHP/2B, Bronson, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-11, 180-pound athletic build. From the infield he shows limited range and sits back to field the baseball. From a low-¾ slot he showed 72 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that uses a little toe tap. Keeps his hands back and needs to get his foot down on time with 81 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.9-60. On the mound he has a clean delivery with quick arm. From a ¾ slot his fastball sits 79-81 mph with arm-side run. Shows a breaking ball at 67-70 mph with 11/5 break and also threw a hard changeup near fastball speed at 73-75 mph. 

Derek Gerken, RHP, Napoleon, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-5, 190-pound projectable frame. On the mound the lanky right-hander really opened eyes with his performance. He showed some effort in his delivery with a quick arm. Threw from a short, loose-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 84-86 mph topping out at 87 mph. Showcased two different breaking balls. His curveball he was able to throw for a strike at 68-70 mph. He also showed a slider with good late 10/4 tilt at 70-72 mph.

Dominic Czajka, C, Allen Park, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-8, 152-pound average build. From a crouch he shows decent footwork to get his feet in line and creates good momentum. Throws from a high-¾ slot with pop times of 2.18-2.28 and 72 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly closed. Uses a little load and his swing gets in and out of the hitting zone. Registered top exit velocity of 79 mph and ran 7.6-60.

Drew Fodor, SS/RHP, Port Clinton, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-4, 220-pounds solid, projectable build. From the infield he projects as a third base type. Shows average range and a good exchange. From a long, high-¾ slot he showed 73 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Shows some strength in his swing with a slightly uphill path. Registered top exit velocity of 85 mph and ran 7.6-60. On the mound he show a quick delivery with no leg lift or inward rotation. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sat 75-79 mph with good command. Showed a solid 12/6 breaking ball at 65-70 mph. Uses a knuckleball for his changeup at 62-63 mph that show no spin and decent life.

Dylan Hall, C/SS, Elmwood, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-11, 152-pound athletic build. From behind the dish show he needs to quicken up his exchange. Showed good accuracy on his throws with pop times between 2.22-2.39 and 70 mph arm strength. Left-handed hitter that has a short compact swing with a flat path and top exit velocity of 69 mph. Ran 7.64-60.

Evan Sexsmith, RHP, Portage Northern, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-11, 175-pound average build. On the mound the right-hander his a submarine guy with feel of three pitches. From underneath his fastball has natural sink and arm-side run at 70-72 mph. Throws a frisbee breaking ball at 61-62 mph that moves side to side across the plate. Also, showed a changeup with sink at 64-65 mph.

Frank Laranga, SS/RHP, Maumee, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic build. From the infield he shows good range and field the ball into his body. Decent exchange with 69 mph arm strength from a high-¾ slot. Right-handed hitter that starts his hands high. Quick hands and bat gets in and out of the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 75 mph and ran 7.33-60. On the mound he slightly pauses at his balance point and lands slightly open at foot strike. He shows the ability to repeat his delivery. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sat 77-80 mph with arm side run. Showed two kinds of breaking balls. His curveball was 64-65 mph with 11/5 tilt and his slider has tighter spin at 67-68 mph. Uses a knuckleball for his changeup at 66-68 mph with average movement.

Jack Goonan, C/RHP, Ayersville, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-3, 235-pound big, projectable frame. Has a simple delivery with good use of his lower ½  that he is able to repeat. From a real high-¾ slot his fastball sit 81-84 mph with sink and clean arm action. Breaking ball has late 11/5 tilt at 71 -73 mph. His changeup is too hard at times at 80 mph. 

Jackson Lammers, RHP/SS, Miller City-New Cleveland, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-11, 165-pound thin, projectable frame. From the infield shows average range and fields the ball into his body. Has a clean transfer with 74 mph arm strength across the diamond from a high-¾ slot. Left-handed hitter that starts spread out. Bat path is flat, but can get long at times. Showed some power to his pull side and 75 mph exit velocity while running a 7.36-60. On the mound he does a good job repeating his delivery with good direction. Throws from an easy, high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 77-80 mph topping out at 81 mph. Showed a 12/6 breaking ball at 65-69 mph with some depth to it. Also, throws a hard changeup at 69-72 mph with some fade to it.

Jacob Jimenez, C/OF, Defiance, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot, 165-pound athletic build. Behind the plate he stands straight up on his transfer and opens up his throws. From a quick, high-¾ slot he showed pop times ranging between 2.11-2.20 and 74 mph arm strength. In the outfield he utilizes an aggressive run through and crow hop to gain momentum with 80 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts open and uses a toe tap to land closed. Flat bat path that stays in the hitting zone with 84 mph exit velocity off a tee and ran 7.64-60.

Jacob Smith, C/1B, Medina, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 175-pound projectable frame. From a crouch he has a wide frame and shows good footwork. Throws from high-¾ slot with pop times ranging between 2.15-2.26 and 70 mph velocity to second base. Shows good footwork around the base at first. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. He stays back well and needs to be more on time getting his foot down. Flat path and registered top exit velocity of 82 mph off a tee and ran 7.51-60

Jeff Laraway, OF/SS, Avon, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-4, 190-pound tall, projectable frame. From the outfield he comes through the baseball aggressive. From over top he falls off a bit with 77 mph arm strength. In the infield he show soft hands with clean exchange. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 76 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance and stays balanced. Short, compact swing that does a good job keeping hands inside the baseball. Registered top exit velocity of 80 mph off the tee and ran 7.00-60.

Jeremy Zsolcsak, RHP, Wyandotte Roosevelt, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-4, 155-pound long, lanky, projectable frame. On the mound he has a tendency to fly open on his lower half. Throws from a short ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 75-77 mph. He wraps a little on his breaking ball at 62-64 mph with some depth and 11/5 tilt. Showcased an above average changeup with good arm speed and fade at 71 -72 mph.

Kegan O’Brien, SS/RHP, Bedford, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-6, 140-pound average build. From the infield he projects to play up the middle.  He fields the ball into his body with a clean exchange. Throws from a ¾ slot with 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. Switch hitter that is very similar from both side. From the right side he has a spread out stance that helps him stay balance. Flat path with good rotation and 83 mph exit velocity. From the left side he is also spread out with a good load and slightly uphill swing with 75 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.10-60. On the mound the righty has compact delivery with good direction and showed the ability to throw 3 pitches for strike. His fastball from a short, high-¾ slot was 76-78 with arm side run. Showed a swing and miss slider at 72-73 mph with good 10/4 break. His threw a changeup with good arm speed at 67-70 mph with some arm side run to it.

Kyle Moskowitz, OF, Anthony Wayne, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-8, 156-pound average build. From the outfield he attacks the ball, but needs to utilize a run through better. Throws from a high-¾ slot with top velocity of 74 mph. Right-handed hitter with a long stride. Flat path that dives into the zone and has tendency to jump at the baseball. Shows good finish and registered top exit velocity of 69 mph off a tee. Ran 7.56-60

Landon Bloir, LHP, Edon, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot, 200-pound solid build. On the mound the southpaw stands tall on his delivery and lands slightly open. Throws from a short, high-¾ slot with his fastball 80-84 mph topping out at 85 mph with occasional sink. Showed a breaking ball with late sharp action at 65-66 mph and also mixed in a changeup at 73-76 mph with some cut to it.

Louis Jodoin, OF/2B, WF Herman Secondary School-CA, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot, 170-pound athletic build. From the outfield he tends to wait back on the ball. Winds up on his throw from a long, high-¾ slot with 75 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that stands tall and uses a leg kick to load. Steps slightly closed  with a flat path and power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity off a tee at 76 mph and ran a 6.93-60.

Lowell Massey, RHP/OF, UofD Jesuit, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic build. On the mound the right-hander has a compact delivery with a high leg kick and tends to fall off to first base side. From an easy, high-¾ slot his fastball sits 78-80 mph with down angle and arm side run. Shows good depth on his breaking ball at 65-70 mph with 11/5 tilt. Struggled with command of his changeup at 63 mph and showcased a knuckle ball at 63 mph with life to it.

Max Avis, 2B/3B, Port Clinton, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot, 165-pounds athletic build. From the infield he sits back on his heels with a good exchange. From a high-¾ slot he shows 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Has quick hands with some power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 78 mph off a tee and ran 7.93-60.

Michael Conklin, RHP/1B, Anthony Wayne, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-3, 165-pound projectable frame. On the mound the right-hander start slow on his delivery and speeds up at foot strike. Lands slightly open and throws from a long, loose-¾ slot with fastball sitting 78-79 mph. Showed two different types of breaking balls. His curveball he slows down on with 11/5 tilt at 61-62 mph. Slider has tighter spin at 69 mph, but has tendency to back up at times. Slows down on his changeup at 65-68 mph.

Mitch Gremling, RHP, Butler, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-4, 210-pound big, projectable build. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo delivery with a solid lower ½. At times he gets to mechanical. From a high-¾ slot his fastball sits 81-83 mph that is heavy with arm-side run. Showed a solid breaking ball at 69-73 mph and showcased an above average changeup at 70-73 mph good arm speed.

Nikolas Rickard, RHP/OF, Woodhaven, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 160-pound projectable frame. On the mound the righty has a slow tempo delivery that lands closed and hides the ball well. Throws from a short-¾ slot with fastball sitting 75-77 mph with arm-side run. Shows some inconsistency in his breaking ball at 63-66 mph with 10/4 break. His second best pitch was his changeup with good arm speed sitting 66-67 mph with occasional run.

PJ Suso, 3B/C, Chippewa, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-10, 180-pound solid build. From behind the plate if he improves his footwork on his transfer his pop times will improve. From a high-¾ slot his pop times ranged between 2.22-2.50 with 67 mph arm strength. Over at third base he shows limited range and fields the ball into his body. From a high-¾ slot he showed 71 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a closed stance and doesn’t stride. Bat path stays through the zone at 88 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.77-60.

Samuel McClurg, C/3B, St. John’s Jesuit, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 185-pound athletic build. From behind the plate he uses a wide frame and decent exchange, but needs better footwork to line up his throw. Threw from a short-¾ slot with pop times ranging 2.11-2.19 and 75 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that uses a little leg kick to load and flat path that stays in the hitting zone. Swing is solid with impressive exit velocity of 92 mph and ran 6.97-60.

Scottie Seymour, SS/2B, Springfield, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-10, 185-pound athletic build. From the infield he showed soft hands and throws from an easy high-¾ slot. Registered 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Shows good rotation on his lower ½ and bat path gets in and out of the hitting zone. Was 81 mph top exit velocity off a tee and ran impressive 6.82-60

Tanner Glass, 3B/2B, Bedford, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic build. From behind the plate he has a wide frame and shows good footwork and a clean transfer. Throws from a longer, high-¾ slot with pop times ranging between 2.12-2.21 with 76 mph arm strength down to second. In the field he shows good range and soft hands. Fields the ball into his body with a loose arm and 81 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that shows a good load and flat path. Has strength in his swing and power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 86 mph off a tee and ran 7.51-60.

Tino Ramirez, C/OF, Defiance, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-8, 150-pound athletic build. From behind the plate he needs to quicken up his footwork and get in line for his throw. Shows good arm action from a high-¾ slot with pop times ranging between 2.07-2.18 and 72 mph arm strength. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Uses a leg kick to load with a max effort swing and surprising power for his size. Registered top exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 7.94-60.

Tony Yambor, RHP/OF, Bedford, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-4, 185-pound projectable frame. From the outfield his best tool is his arm strength. Tends to open up on his throw. From over the top he showed 84 mph velocity on his throw. Right-handed hitter that has quick hands and flat swing, but doesn’t finish it at times. Registered top exit velocity of 84 mph off a tee and ran 7.47-60. On the mound he uses a clean delivery with minimal effort and lands on line. Easy arm speed with fastball sitting 79-81 mph with good command. Breaking ball had some depth to it at 64-66 mph and showcased a changeup at 69 mph.

Tristan Faunce, RHP/SS, Central Catholic, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-11, 155-pound lanky, projectable frame. On the mound he has a slow tempo, repeatable delivery that lands closed at foot strike. Throws from an easy, short, high-¾ slot with his fastball sitting 79-82 mph topping out at 83 mph with some down angle and arm-side run. Shows a hard, late breaking curveball at 74-75 mph with 10/4 action. His changeup is hard at 77-79 mph with some arm side run and occasional sink.

Tristan Roth, SS/RHP, Woodmore, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic build. From the infield he is real aggressive coming to get the baseball. Fields the ball into his body with good exchange. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 74 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that sits in his legs with a little stride and stays balance. Show power to pull side with 86 mph exit velocity and ran 7.5-60. 

Tyler McPeek, C/RHP, Oak Hills, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 180-pound projectable frame. From behind the dish he shows good arm strength and needs to improve his receiving. From a short slot his pop times ranged 2.18-2.33 with 72 mph arm strength down to second. Right-handed hitter stands tall and uses a leg kick to load. Does a good job keeping hands back and showcased a top exit velocity of 72 mph. Ran 8.1-60. 

Will Zeller, 1B/3B, Defiance, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot, 165-pound projectable frame. Projects as a corner guy. From 3B he shows a soft hands and clean exchange. Opens up on his throw from over the top at 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. At first base he shows good footwork around the bag. Right-handed hitter that starts with his hands high. He gets heavy on his front foot with a flat path and showed occasional power to his pull side. Registered top exit velocity off a tee at 81 mph and ran a 7.63-60.

Xavier Jefferson, OF, Southfield-Lathrup, 2016
Scouting report: 5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic build. From the outfield he does a good job attacking the baseball. Uses a good crow hop and opens up on his throw. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 82 mph arm strength. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Starts with his hands high with a short, compact swing and good rotation. Registered top exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 6.95-60.

Zach Brown, 1B/3B, Oregon Clay, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic build. From the infield he plays with a lot of energy and shows good range. Good hands and throws from a high-¾ slot with 80 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Stands tall with his hands back and shows good rotation with his bat getting in and out of the zone. Registered an impressive and showcase best 93 mph exit velocity. Ran a 6.96-60.

Zach Owings, 2B/OF, Saline, 2016
Scouting report: 6-foot-1, 185-pound athletic build. From the infield he show soft hands and needs to quicken up his exchange. From a short, high-¾ slot he shows 76 mph arm strength across the diamond. Hitting is his strong tool. From the left side he stands tall with a good load. Quick hands with flat path that stays in the hitting zone. Registered 87 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.09-60.
