MONTGOMERY, AL - The Montgomery Open was held on Wednesday, June 28th at Stanhope Elmore HS in Millbrook, AL. This was an open event that consisted of prospects in the 2024-2026 classes. These players went through a pro-style workout and took batting practice using Trackman to record hitting metrics. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Wednesday.

Continuing our post-event coverage for this event, we take a look at each position player present last Wednesday. Check back tomorrow as we will release individual scouting reports on all pitchers from the event.

Noah Stafford, Ardmore (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-6, 140-pounds. Athletic and leaner build. Can add mass to the frame.
Hit: SH. Open set up in the stance, relaxed with handset. Stays inside the ball well, uses the middle parts of the field. Developing pop. 64.7 mph bat speed with 13 G’s of rotational acceleration.
