Mizuno Pitcher of the Week: Week 2

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year, we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Special thank you to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season and for the high school coaches who nominated their players for this award.
Continuing from last year, we will also be highlighting other players from across the state in our Alabama Diamond Notes that we will release each Wednesday. Our Diamond Notes will highlight other players nominated by high school coaches that are deserving of recognition that were not named Mizuno Pitcher or Player of the Week.

Brady Richardson SS / RHP / Enterprise, AL / 2025Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 2
Richardson has gotten off to an incredible start to begin his junior campaign both at the plate and on the mound. A Troy recruit, Richardson is equally as talented on both sides of the ball, but his performance on the mound against a top-10 ranked team in Class 6A. Going the distance in a tightly-contested game against a lineup with a few next-level prospects, Richardson finished going 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, & 15 K's in a dominant showing from the right-hander. In addition to the gem, he also provided some offense to help out his cause, as he blasted a no-doubter to left field. |
