Indiana Insider: A look at some of the Top Performers from Indiana's Top Prospect Games



On Tuesday, June 13th, we hosted the annual Top Prospect Games at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  The event featured over 100 of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2018-2020 classes. Below, we a take a look at some of the top performers at the event.

TEAM 1

Marek Bauner, SS/RHP, Crown Point HS, 2019

Athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds.  Showcased sure hands defensively with athletic actions.  Footwork is fluid, but will need to increase his footspeed in order to stay up the middle at the next level.  Shows arm strength across the diamond with throws topping at 85 mph. Offensively, the RHH hits from a quiet setup, smooth load back.  Hands get through the zone quickly ,long, level to slightly uphill path, pull side pop.  High contact, line drive type hitter.  Registered a high exit velocity of 83 mph.  Ran a 7.67 laser-timed 60 yard dash.  

Kiel Brenzcewski, C, Fishers HS, 2019

Athletic, 6-foot-1, 180 pound catcher displayed quick twitch actions in the batters box and behind the plate.  Pop times ranged between 1.99-2.08 with throws topping at 77mph.  Feet are long, quick. Clean transfer, short arm action.  Pops up on transfer.  Fluid movements from the right side.  Starts open, repeatable load.  Long path to ball, quick barrel turn.  Gap to gap power presence, much more to come.  High follow in 2019 class.
