Scouting Report

2/9/19 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound left-handed hitting OF. Medium, athletic build. Easy, repeatable swing. Consistent line drive contact to the gaps. Ran 7.27 laser timed 60. Projects currently as corner OF. 87 mph exit velocity off the tee. Moves well with good footwork defensively. Plays through the ball well. 83 mph arm strength with good carry to target. Appears to take good routes to the ball. Straight line speed plays up on the field. Has potential to add power element to offensive game.

On the mound showed a solid three-pitch mix. High-3/4 slot with some quickness in arm. Clean arm action. Minimal effort. Works the bottom of the zone well. Fastball occasional slight arm-side run at 81-82. Shows excellent feel for spin on the 68-69 CB with sharp 1/7 action. Changeup is 71-72 with mostly cutting action; has feel for the pitch but can stay behind it more to produce sink and fade.

Intriguing two-way player. Given his ability to spin the CB may ultimately end up on the mound, but the left-handed bat and athleticism in the OF also gives him a chance to stick as a position player.
