Kentucky Pitcher of The Week

Week 2 of the Kentucky high school season produced a number of worthy nominations for our second edition of the Prep Baseball Kentucky Pitcher of The Week award, but ultimately we settled on one player for this week’s honor.

JT Ritchie, a sophomore RHP from Bourbon County HS, fired a complete-game, no-hitter while racking up 11 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Estill County on March 21. Ritchie features an upper-80’s fastball and sharp mid-70’s slider that has produced 17 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA through 12 innings thus far this spring.

For his outstanding performance on the field, JT Ritchie has been named the Prep Baseball Kentucky Pitcher of The Week for March 18-24.
