PBR Preseason ID- North Dakota: Event Preview

On Sunday, March 13th, 2022, Prep Baseball Report Minnesota will be conducting its 2nd annual PBR Preseason ID-North Dakota event, to be held at the Rustad Recreation Center in West Fargo.

In March 2021, PBR Minnesota held the very first ever Preseason event in North Dakota. Players from the class of 2021 through 2024 showcased their talents in front of the PBR MN staff. It was an action–packed day at the Rustad Center with over 50 players in attendance from Minnesota, North and South Dakota.

One notable participant from last year’s event was Thomas Simon, a 2024 graduate from Fargo Shanley who recently committed to Nebraska. Simon, an athletic shortstop, had an overall nice day both with the bat and on the mound. The future Husker is an early commit out of the state of North Dakota, and we will undoubtedly continue to see more talented players from the area.

Overall, there were fourteen total players out of the twenty-eight 2021 and 2022 grads who went on to make college commitments after last year’s event. 

With solid talent across the state, PBR Minnesota will look to continue into North Dakota. We have seen players in the past attend numerous events across Minnesota and have done very well. North Dakota continues to see talented players come out of the state and Sunday’s Preseason ID event will be no different.

This event is designed to allow players to showcase their ability which allows colleges to identify prospective student-athletes earlier in the recruiting process or find players needed immediately for next year. Players will also be evaluated and considered for updated player rankings along with being considered for future PBR “Invite-Only” events. The showcase will be featured on the PBR’s website, where more than 900 college coaches subscribe to look for talent. Scouting reports, statistics, and videos will be hosted in player profiles. Top players will also be identified from this event.

EXPOSURE:

The showcase will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report website, which is subscribed to by more than 900 colleges. Event information including statistics and scouting reports will also be posted on the Prep Baseball Report’s website, at PrepBaseballReport.com. Top players will be identified and ranked. Players’ edited videos will also be hosted in the players’ profile along with scouting reports and statistics.
