Daily Game Round Up-March 16



In action on Saturday, March 16th:

No. 1 Francis Howell advances to the semifinals in the Troy Tournament, defeating Seckman 4 to 2. Calvin Munson struck out nine batters over five innings to pick up the win. Elijah Dilday had a 3-for-4 day with a triple and RBI, while Nic Perkins, Eric Huenke, and Josh Gwaltney each drove in a run. 

In the semi-finals, Francis Howell and Timberland were tied 2-2 before the game was postponed, game schedule to be continued on Tuesday. 

No. 2 CBC advanced to the semi-finals of the Troy Tournament with a 10-3 win over Francis Howell North. 

No. 11 Vianney got by St. Mary’s 5 to 3 in the Lindbergh/Mehlville Tournament, moving to 2-0 on the season. 

No. 7 Rockwood Summit picked up a pair of wins in their quest to repeat as state champions, defeating Barat Academy 10-2 and NW Cedar Hill 2-1. 

No. 23 Logan-Rogersville pounded out 15 hits on their way to a 17-6 win over Webb City. Dayton Karr, Jacob Schlesener, and Connor Pomering each had three RBIs on the afternoon. Josh King, Justus Boever, and Tyler Crittenden each drove in two runs a piece in the winning effort. 


In other action across the state:
Timberland got by Ft. Zumwalt South 6 to 5 to advance to the semi-finals of the Troy Tournament. 

Wentzville Holt beat up on Windsor 11 to 1 in the consolation round of the Troy Tournament. 

DeSmet slugged their way to a 20 to 8 win over St. Charles West in the consolation round of the Troy Tournament.

Hillsboro shut out Troy 10-0 in the consolation round of the Troy Tournament. 

Hazelwood West defeated Mehlville 10-6 in the Lindbergh/Mehlville Tournament. Devin Williams threw four innings of no hit ball while striking out eight. 

Webster Groves defeated Sullivan 6 to 3 in the Lindbergh/Mehlville Tournament.

Branson had six different players collect an RBI in their 7-4 win over Carl Junction. Austin Brogan and Daniel Scott both went a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate with an RBI. Brogan scored three times and Scott crossed the plate twice. Luke Keller, Dylan Newberry, Ethan Whitehall, and Garrison Gattis each collected an RBI on the day. Zach Redford picked up the win going six innings allowing four hits and two runs. 

Jefferson City defeated Glendale 3 to 2. Hennessey Travis threw six innings allowing six hits and allowing two runs. 

Jefferson City outslugged Helias 11-10 in eight innings in winning their second game of the day. Brenden Ogletree collected three RBIs, including the game trying RBI in the bottom of the eighth inning. Rylie Klosterman had a perfect 3-for-3 day with a two singles, a triple, and two RBIs while Sam Atkinson had a 2-for-4 day with two RBIs. 

Glendale won their second game of the day, defeating Helias 6-5 in a game that saw five lead changes. Camp Carter led the Glendale offense going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Will Blount and Kendon Brown each picked an RBI for Glendale in the win. Helias falls to 0-2.

Conway defeats Pierce City 11-4.

St. Louis University High picked up their second win in two days, shutting out McClure North 10-0.

Lutheran North swept a double header from Trinity, 4 to 3 and 5 to 0.

Orchard Farm scored 25 runs in a double-header sweep over Kennedy, 13-5 and 12-8.

Nixa went 1-1 on the day, defeating Parkway West 6-4 and falling to Parkway South 8-7 on a walk off.
