SATURDAY, MARCH 23RD

+ RHP Trace McDonald (West Marion, 2025) has progressed a great deal since we saw him in game action a couple of years ago. With his very lean and lanky frame and a delivery that needed to be polished up, there was definitely something in the works. At 6-5 and just 170 pounds there is still more maturity coming but on Saturday the Pearl River CC recruit was up to 90 mph with plenty of life to his fastball. McDonald is still developing command but his fastball has enough action to it that, if its in the zone its tough to square up. We may be looking at a mid 90's arm in time. With solid starting pitching, West Marion will be a tough draw when the post season arrives.
