The Prep Baseball Nevada High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best performance for a Nevada High School pitcher from the previous week.  Each week, High School coaches across the State are asked to fill out our questionnaire for Pitcher and Player of the Week, along with our scouting staff attending games and scouring box scores throughout the week.  Every Saturday a link will be pushed out on social accounts to the Player/Pitcher of the Week questionnaire with a deadline of Saturday night at 11:59PM, followed by the announcement on Sunday.

With our first Pitcher of the Week of the 2024 season, Faith Lutheran's Chase Sorlie who worked 5.2 strong innings in the Crusaders home opener, leading the team to a 6-0 victory.

'24 RHP Chase Sorlie got the ball in the Crusaders home opener against Spring Valley and worked 5.2 scoreless innings on his way to earning the 6-0 victory. He was pounding the strike zone all night long and generating swings/misses as he picked up 13 of the 17 outs via the strikeout while only surrrending two walks. The 6-foot, 170-pound right-hander is still uncommitted and should be on the radar of college coaches as he looks primed for a strong senior season.
