Prep Baseball Nevada: HS Player of the Week (Week 3)

The Prep Baseball Nevada High School Player of the Week highlights the best performance for a Nevada High School player from the previous week. Each week, High School coaches across the State are asked to fill out our questionnaire for Pitcher and Player of the Week, along with our scouting staff attending games and scouring box scores throughout the week. Every Saturday a link will be pushed out on social accounts to the Player/Pitcher of the Week questionnaire with a deadline of Saturday night at 11:59PM, followed by the announcement on Sunday.
Our Week Three 'Player of the Week' goes to Nevada's top-ranked 2026 and one of the top sophomores in the country, SS Rookie Shepard (Miami commit), of Faith Lutheran. Shepard blasted a pair of home runs, along with three doubles as the Crusaders picked up three wins in three games on the week.

The Miami commit and fourth-ranked 2026 in the country was driving the ball for extra-bases all week long as he helped the Faith Lutheran Crusaders pick up three wins in as many games. The left-handed hitter blasted a pair of home runs, including an important one against Green Valley as Faith Lutheran squeezed out a 2-0 win. In total, Shepard went 6-for-10 with two home runs, three doubles, five RBI, five runs scored and a walk. Shepard continues to stand out each time he takes the field and is currently batting .412 on the season.
