Batavia 11, St. Charles East 7
Ben Lyman’s three-run homer capped an eight-run fifth-inning outburst by the Bulldogs. Luke Beckman and Tyler Munoz also went deep in the victory. Lyman struck out three in 1 ⅓ perfect innings to save the win for Glenn Albanese, Jr.

CLASS 3A SECTIONAL SEMIFINALS

Montini 8, Benet 7
J.R. Walsh turned a hit-by-pitch into the go-ahead run as Montini broke a 7-7 tie in the bottom of the sixth. Justin Blake had two hits and scored two runs and Nicholas Malik and Alex Luka drove in two runs apiece for the Broncos. Luka allowed a run on one hit in three innings of relief to earn the win. Erik Jones went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI for Benet.
