Games Continue to be played both in state and out of state as many teams have hit the road for Spring Break.  Here a look at game action from yesterday.

Thursday March 24th.

Dakota Ridge (3-3) 9 Grant (Portland, OR) 4

Nease (Ponte Vedra, FL) 6 Columbine 1
Columbine could only come up with 4 hits and 1 run, while playing in a tournament in Florida over Spring Break. 

Heritage (3-1) 6 O’Connor (Phoenix, AZ) 8
No. 3 2017 Casey Opitz went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, but Heritage could only put together 2 other hits in their loss to O’Connor HS, in Phoenix. 

Topsail Baseball (Hampstead NC) 5 Rocky Mountain (0-2) 2
The Lobos could only put together 6 hits, and lost to Topsail in North Carolina tourney. 

Thunderridge (5-1) 11 Hillsbora (Hillsboro OR) 2
No.2 2016 Jake Eissler went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, and 2016 Chase Noell went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s to lead the Grizzlies over Hillboro in Phoenix AZ.

Knight (Palmdale, CA) 4 Grand Junction 0
Grand Junction could only come up with 3 hits vs Knight, but No. 171 2016 Tyler Mantlo threw 6 innings only allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run in the loss.

Mira Mesa (San Diego, CA) 3 Valor Christian (4-2) 1
No. 4 2018 Luke Ziegler went 2 for 3 and had 1 RBI, and also pitched 4 innings not allowing a run in the loss to Mira Mesa.  

Douglas (Portland, OR) 8 Pueblo Central (1-3) 4
Pueblo Central was able to score 4 runs on just 4 hits, but couldn’t hold off Douglas of Portland, OR.

Lewis Palmer (3-2) 14  Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ) 9
No. 111 2017 Billy Cook went 3 for 4 and scored 4 runs in beating Goldwater from Phoenix, AZ.

Bayfield (2-2) 12 St. Mary’s (3-1) 10
No. 55 2016 Zane Phelps went 4 for 4 scoring 3 runs and driving in another 3 runs, and No.155 2016 Brody McGhehey add 3 hits in 5 at-bats and drove in another 2 runs in Bayfield’s win over St. Mary’s.
