On Nov. 9, Prep Baseball Report unveiled its national Preseason ID showcase schedule, including PBR Illinois’ seven Preseason ID events. It all starts on Jan. 23 with the Denver Preseason ID, followed by the Northern Colorado Preseason ID, the Super 60 Showcase and capped off with the Invite Only - Colorado Preseason All-State.

If you’re curious to learn more about the Prep Baseball Report’s showcase structure, here’s an idea of what you can expect while attending and following a PBR showcase.

WHAT IS A PRESEASON ID EVENT?

The Preseason ID series is unique in several ways. It serves as an identifier heading into the spring high school season, giving our scouts as well as college recruiters, a list of prospects to follow as they plan their spring coverage. We also tend to see prospects’ best performances in the Preseason, as most athletes are fresh and coming off of strict and targeted off-season training programs that have resulted in big gains, primed for updating their PBR profile. All of which lends the perfect opportunity to secure invitations to some of the summer's biggest invite-only events such as the Top Prospect Games, PBR Future Games, and West Coast Games.

Our staff strategically hosts Preseason ID events throughout the state in search of players who have taken advantage of the offseason, identifying new prospects to add to our follow lists or players our staff is already familiar with who are on the rise.

All player information including tech metrics, stats, videos, scouting reports and more will be hosted to the Prep Baseball Report website, bolstering the player profile, which is subscribed to by more than 800 colleges across the country.

DENVER PRESEASON ID

We're back at Slammers South for the second straight Denver Preseason ID as we open up the 2022 in the State Capital. Last year's event saw multiple players join Colorado's Future Games Team with another heading to the West Coast Games. A pair of '23s, Parker Murrow and Holden Pantier, both headed to Georgia for the Future Games while Grayson Headrick joined the West Coast Games in Las Vegas. Seven 2022s from last year's event are now committed as well as 2023 Carson Tinney who committed to Notre Dame.

Northern colorado preseason id

This will be the first Northern Colorado Preseason ID we've ran and with multiple Preseason IDs in 2022, it will allow us to get looks at even more players across the State. The event is open to the classes of '22 - '25 and will allow more players to get in front of our scouts as we continue to identify players for the Future Games and Jr. Future Games.

Super 60 showcase (chicago)

This prestigious, invitation-only event features only the top draft prospects in the Prep Baseball Report’s expansive coverage area. Over the last 19 years, the Super 60 has become the most heavily scouted preseason event for potential draft picks. The primary purpose of the Super 60 is to give professional area scouts, cross-checkers and scouting directors a head start to the high school season. The event is for draft-eligible Class of 2022 prospects.

Colorado had one player at the Super 60 Showcase this past February, left-hander Ryan Ure, who was drafted by the Rangers in the 16th round of last year's draft and is now pitching at Oklahoma State.

Colorado preseason all-state

The Preseason All-State Showcase is an invitation-only event that features the top players across the state. Every year the Preseason All-State Showcase highlights the Who’s Who of the state. This event is limited and exclusive to the top prospects in Colorado and serves as a springboard as you enter the high school season.
