The Green Mountain Rams who had moved up and down to the Prep Baseball Report Colorado rankings all year, found themselves in a very familiar position on Wednesday, playing for the 4A Baseball State Championship.  The Rams entered post-season play as the 15th seed overall and promptly rattled off 7 wins in a row to capture the title and repeat as 4A State Champions.

Game Recap:
Green Mountain wasted no time getting on the board and taking control of the game, in the bottom of the 1st inning, a double by 2015 Talon Schaller scored 2015 Reid Effrein putting Rams out in front, never to look back.  After a quiet 2nd inning, the Rams put distance between themselves and Lewis Palmer in the 3rd.  A single by 2016 Wyatt Featherston, a double by 2015 Cole Shetterly and a triple by Schaller and it was 3-0 in a hurry.  From that point on, 2015 Josh Ramirez took the game over on the mound.  In the first three innings, Lewis Palmer was able to get 2 runners on twice and collect 4 hits, but failed to score both times.  Once the 4th inning rolled around, Ramirez settled into a grove and was lights out.  In the 4th and 5th innings combined, he required only 11 pitches to sit the Rangers down in order.  Ramirez only surrendered 2 more base runners in the final 4 innings, finishing off the game in style with a quick 1-2-3 top of the 7th.
