The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

With our first premier event of 2018 three weeks away, we will introduce you to players who are registered.  Continuing our look at Underclass Invitational participants is 2021 C/3B Trevor O'Brien of Broomfield High School.

PBR:  Describe yourself as a baseball player to those who have never seen you play:

O’Brien: I’d describe myself as a person who understands the game. Being a 3rd baseman, catcher and pitcher I understand a lot of situations and know what to do with the ball if I get it.

PBR:  What would be your dream school to play baseball at?  If you have already committed to play at the next level, why did you choose that particular school?

O’Brien: Only being a freshman, I want to play baseball at LSU, Vanderbilt or Coastal Carolina. My uncle's brother is the asst. coach at Coastal (Kevin Schnall)

PBR:  What are your best assets on and off the field at this point in your high school career?

O’Brien: I have only been to the high school workouts so far, but I’d say my best assets on the field is my defense at third base.  As far as off the field, I’d say my outgoing personality and can have a conversation to anyone

PBR:  What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point in your career?

O’Brien: My dad has always said practice isn't mandatory but neither is playing time.  I've never missed a practice since I started playing baseball.

PBR: What does your off-season routine look like to prepare for the upcoming season?

O’Brien: All off season we have a strength and conditioning program at the BHS as well as my summer club team.  Thunder Academy 14U Red with Darron Cox.

PBR:  What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?

O’Brien: I always double tap the plate when I get into the batter’s box and if I step out of the box I do it again

PBR:  What are your goals for:

This Season: Being at Broomfield Coach Estes has always kept freshmen on the “C” team.  I am working hard to change that and make JV as a freshman

Two Years: Continuing to be a good student athlete and being a leader on the BHS Varsity baseball team.

Four Years: I want to be a lawyer so I am working hard to be good student athlete and am working hard to play baseball at a Division 1 college.
