Week Seven: Colorado Scout Blog

PBR Staff

The PBR Colorado scouting staff offers unparalleled coverage of high school baseball statewide while taking in multiple games each week. Each week the Colorado Scout Blog provides video and scouting reports on the standout performers from each game. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, draft prospects, and anything else notable from our game coverage.

Rocky Mountain at Loveland

Ross Frank RHP / C / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2025

Young arm pitching with poise and confidence this season. He commands the zone with his fastball and slider. With his L 3/4 slot, the low to mid 80's fastball can get swings and misses at the belt with ride through the zone. The slider is good enough but should continue developing as he matures. At times it has sweeper action that gets a flinch from the hitter. Other times it stays flat and spins into the zone. He still has projection in the body and is not a finished product.

Garrett Harstad SS / RHP / Loveland, CO / 2023

The Kansas State football commit is a high-level athlete. He started the game at shortstop and showed his range and athleticism defensively. Offensively, he is competitive in the box with whip in the barrel. Watching him run is impressive, and he was able to show off the speed with two triples in the game. The baseball skill is a little raw, but the athleticism is real.

University at Eaton

Lucas Stone OF / LHP / Eaton, CO / 2024

Shows good feel for the barrel and competes in the box. Athletic LHH who can be multi-dimensional in his approach. Plays the game hard with energy and feel.

Kade Gentry OF / Eaton, CO / 2024

Undersized LHH who plays hard. Slappy contact swing who seems to be on base every at bat. Seems to know his strengths and plays his role on a high level team. Can go get the ball in center field with a quick first step and the right angles. Dirt bag type player.

Dalton Yaste C / 3B / University, CO / 2024

Competitive player with some fire and energy to his game. Tall and thin frame with room to add strength. Quality at bats vs. high level arms. Handled velocity and seemed to find the barrel consistently. Athletic enough to play multiple positions on the field.
