Each week during the high school season, the Prep Baseball Colorado staff will announce our 'Player(s) of the Week' awards for that particular week. Numerous players from across the state will continue to perform and put up numbers weekly, though only a select few can earn Player or Pitcher of the Week honors when compared on a weekly basis. Below you'll see which players have earned our 'Player of the Week' honor this spring season. We will also highlight those that fell short in our weekly 'Diamond Notes' article, where you can learn more about the standout names across the Colorado baseball landscape.

WEEK 2 COLORADO PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Ethan Fillinger SS / RHP / Windsor, CO / 2025 Fillinger did a little bit of everything offensively last week thanks to going 8 for 13 with three homers, a triple, a double, a stolen base, 8 RBI, 8 runs scored, and a walk. The uncommitted 2025 prospect is the 5th ranked shortstop in the state's class, and his scorching start has helped lead his 4A program to a 5-0 start this spring.

WEEK 2 COLORADO PITCHER OF THE WEEK:

Wyatt Rudden RHP / OF / Cherry Creek, CO / 2025 Rudden tossed a gem in what ended up being a 1-0 win for his Cherry Creek Bruins' squad over Valley Vista in Arizona. The Michigan commit whiffed 12 batters, allowed just one hit, and walked three. Rudden also held down over a 62% strike rate in this game. The junior is one of the top arms in the state and continues to get better.
