The 2024 High School season is just getting undeway in Hawaii and for the first time ever, Prep Baseball Hawaii brings you Season Previews on High School teams from across the State. Coaches and players have been working nonstop since the conclusion of the 2023 season in preparation for a highly anticipated 2024 spring season. Throughout our Preseason Previews, we look to give you an inside scoop on some of the most highly talked about teams going into the spring season. We continue to provide insight and analysis as the season gets underway and we'll continue providing coverage throughout the Spring.

Kamehameha Kapalama enters the year as the defending Division I State Champions and will look to repeat as the top team in the State as they have large crop of impactful arms returning for the season, as well as a pair of starting positional players at key positions. Below, we'll bring you a full in-depth preview of Daryl Kitagawa's squad as they begin their 2024 campaign.

Returning Strengths: Kamehameha Kapalama boasts an impressive rotation and slew of arms who should help put the club in a good position to keep their winning ways rolling through the 2024 season. RHP Blade Paragas (Brigham Young) provides some experience as a senior, as well as juniors RHP Elai Iwanaga (Brigham Young), RHP Kainoa Kaneshiro (Nevada), RHP Greyson Osbun (Uncommitted), LHP Alaka'i Kiakona (Uncommitted), LHP Logan Sanchez (Uncommitted) who will all look to take on larger roles as upperclassmen.

Top Returning Players: Beyond the six arms listed above with Paragas, Iwanaga, Kaneshiro, Osbun, Kiakona and Sanchez, Kamehameha Kapalama returns a pair of positional players at premium positions who will be key offensive contributors and leaders on the team throughout their senior seasons. OF Jace Souza (Texas Tech) started his season with a strong showing at the Super 60 Pro Showcase in Chicago and will look to carry that into the high school season. Behind the dish, C Bruce Boucher (Hawaii Pacific) will provide some experience behind the dish will be a key part to the teams success with his ability to handle the teams high-powered arms.
