Pearl City enters the year with a different mindset following a 6-9 record in 2023 as they look to return to their winnings ways utilizing a strong crop returning infielders.  Below, we'll bring you a full in-depth preview of Duane Eldredge's squad as they begin their 2024 campaign.

High School: Pearl City High School
Coach: Duane Eldredge
HHSAA Classification: Division I
Conference: Oahu West
2023 Record: 6-9

Returning Strengths/Players: One of the major returning strengths in the Pearl City lineup is their infield led by 2nd-ranked junior in Hawaii, SS Logan Honma (USC commit), who will be a main contributor to the teams success throughout the season.

Beyond Honma, Pearl City's infield will also rely on returners '25 SS/RHP Noah Bernal (uncommitted), '24 1B/LHP Devin Fujino (uncommitted) and '25 MIF Ethan Higashionna (uncommitted).

Top Newcomers: The four names above will be relied upon to move the needle this year for Pearl City but they've made a pair of additions over the summer who will be also looked to for big contributions this year. '25 RHP Halona Felix (uncommitted) joins Pearl City and will be a welcomed addition to the pitching staff with plenty of innigs on-deck this season. '27 OF/LHP Ian Wicklund (uncommitted) also joins the team and will provide some youth to the lineup, as well as provide some impact for years to come.

Pearl City enters the season with confidence as they return a strong unit on the dirt and have received several reinforcements, arms wise, over the offseason. The Chargers will be a fun follow throughout the season and should draw plenty of attention with one of the top players in the State taking the shortstop position each gameday.
