Lake Charles Summer Open: Pitcher Reports

LAKE CHARLES, LA - The Lake Charles Summer Open was held on May 21st at Barbe HS in Lake Charles, LA. This event was an open event that consisted of some of the top and upcoming talent from the 2024-2028 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on at the event.
Today we will begin releasing our scouting reports from the event, looking at all pitchers from the Lake Charles Summer Open.

Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 5-11, 170-pounds. Athletic
Delivery: Starts in the middle of the rubber and stays there throughout a deliberate and quick delivery, high leg lift, strides on line and finishes square to his target

Davis Emonet, Catholic (BR) (LA), 2025
Positional Profile: OF/RHP A good uncommitted 2025 to follow
Body: 6-1, 165-pounds. Long, lean, and athletic
Delivery: Starts on the 1B side of the rubber and slides over to the middle of the rubber throughout a controlled delivery, high leg lift, strides on line and finishes square to his target
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose, and whippy with a high 3/4 release
FB: T84, 82-84 mph. Had some riding life through the zone T2070, 2036 average rpm.
CB: 73-73 mph. "11-5" with tight shape and good depth down in the zone T1968, 1968 average rpm.
CH: 74-75 mph. Fades it with some sink T1843, 1634 average rpm.

Parker Freeman, Little Cypress Mauriceville (TX), 2026

Body: 6-3, 198-pounds. Athletic with some physicality
Delivery: Starts in the middle of the rubber an dstays there throughout a quicker delivery, strides on-line and finishes square to his target
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm path with a high 3/4 release
FB: T82, 79-82 mph. Arm-side sink and run T2018, 1948 average rpm.
CB: 70-72 mph. Short and tight top to bottom break, more of a swing and miss offering T1943, 1943 average rpm.
CH: 75-78 mph. Sinks it firmer with some fade T1328, 1250 average rpm.
