OTHERS TO WATCH:Hayden Travinski (Airline HS, LA) is one of the premier right-handed power bats in this year’s class, and had an extremely productive spring, posting double digit home runs. His commitment to Louisiana State and lingering question marks about his ability to remain behind the plate could push him to school, but the physical 6-foot-3, 235-pounder showed off much improved catch-and-throw skills during the Super 60, which carried over throughout the spring season. RHP Antoine Harris (Chalmette HS, LA) has long been an intriguing arm, dating back to the 2017 Future Games, and created a lot of buzz around the state over the past year. He has run his fastball up to 94 mph, and with his lean, athletic 6-foot-4 frame, gives scouts plenty to dream on. OF Mitchel Sanford (Berwick HS, LA) is a potential sleeper who has come on late this spring, as the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is an athletic defender and one of the top left-handed hitters in the state. C Alex Milazzo (Zachary HS, LA) is one of the best defensive catchers to come out of Louisiana in some time, as the Louisiana State recruit possess elite level catch-and-throw skills that impacts the game. Other names that have drawn interest this spring include SS Collier Cranford (Zachary HS, LA), who had his senior season cut short with an injury but was creating a lot of buzz with his premium defense and athleticsm, and RHP Drew McDaniel (St. Thomas More HS, LA), who ran his fastball up to 94 mph early in the spring.
