Prep Baseball Louisiana: Mizuno Pitcher of the Week (Week 2)

Alex Armand
Louisiana Scouting Director

The Prep Baseball Louisiana High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wedensday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

Week 2 Pitcher of the Week

2025 RHP Easton Sanders (Glenbrook HS)

Week 2 Stats

-Innings Pitched: 13

-Earned Runs: 2

-Hits: 8

-Strikeouts: 21

-Walks: 3

Glenbrook didn't have the start that they wanted to have this season, as they lost their first four games, but that all changed last Tuesday against Many, as the Apaches notched their first win by a score of 11-1.  2025 Easton Sanders was a big reason for that win, as he tossed a complete-game (6 innings) and gave up only 4 H and 1 ER with 2 BB and 12 K's.  The Louisiana Tech recruit then turned around on Saturday and delivered another impressive performance on the mound against Catholic Pointe-Coupee.  The Apaches ended up with a 7-1 win, thanks to Sanders tossing another complete-game (7 innings) giving up only 4 H and 1 ER with 1 BB and 9 K's.  For the week, Sanders went 2-0 and tossed 13 innings, giving up 8 H and 2 ER with 3 BB and 21 K's.  He also swung the bat really well, as he was 6-9 (.667) at the plate with 2 2B, 1 3B, and 4 BB.
