The Prep Baseball Louisiana High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wedensday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

 

 

Week 4 Pitcher of the Week

 

2024 RHP Giancarlo Arencibia (Rummel HS)

Rummel moved back into the Top-10 of our Power 25 Rankings this week, after going 3-1 last week, which included a sweep of John Curtis Christian.  Arencibia got the start in last Tuesday's matchup against the Patriots and once again delivered a brilliant performance for the Raiders.  The former Future Gamer and Tulane recruit tossed a complete game no-hitter with 5 BB and 6 K's, on 118 pitches (70 Strikes \ 48 Balls).  While Arencibia gave up more free passes than he probably would've liked, he still competed his tail off and led Rummel to the 3-0 victory over John Curtis Christian.
