The Top 5

The Top 5 has again undergone some minor changes after the fourth week of the high school season, as the Top 3 teams remain intact for the third consecutive week.  Catholic BR is still our #1 team, for the fifth consecutive week, after going 5-1 last week.  The Bears finished off their sweep of Live Oak last Monday and beat Terrebonne the next day, before heading to a tournament in Florida, against some of the nation's best prep programs.  Catholic beat Lewisburg (MS), Lincoln (FL), and Farragut (TN), before dropping their last game to Winter Park (FL) by a score of 4-3.  Sam Houston checks in at #2, after going 3-1 last week in district play.  The Broncos beat Lafayette twice and then split their two-game series with district rival Barbe.  Natchitoches Central remains at the #3 spot in our Power 25 Rankings.  The Chiefs had a short week, as they went 1-1 in district play against Benton.  On Saturday, junior Titus Williams hit a walk-off RBI double to score former Future Gamer junior Brock Laird, which sealed their 1-0 victory over the Tigers.  West Monroe moves up three spots this week to #4, after a perfect 4-0 week, bringing their overall record to 13-5.  The Rebels are getting hot at the right time, as they've won their last seven straight and outscored their opponents last week 39 to 12.  Barbe moves up three spots to #5 this week and currently own a 15-5 overall record.  The Bucs beat district-rival Sam Houston last Thursday by a score of 8-0, before losing to the Broncos on Saturday by a score of 4-2.

Risers

Brusly has been steadily creeping up the rankings and have made it into the Top-10 this week at #8.  The Panthers scored a whopping 48 runs, across their three wins last week, and currently own a 15-1 overall record.

+ Iota makes their Power 25 Rankings debut this week at the #16 spot.  The Bulldogs went a perfect 4-0 last week with their biggest win coming on Saturday against Covington, which was a 13-5 win over the Lions, and are now 15-1 on the season.

+ St. Charles Catholic jumps back into the Power 25 Rankings Rankings this week at #25.  The Comets won all five of their games last week and have won their last seven straight.
